In a daring step in direction of strengthening innovation-led training in Africa, Uganda will host a
landmark regional seminar on STEM, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Mental
Property (IP) Schooling.
The seminar to run from Could, 28 to 30 2025 will probably be held at Protea Resort, Kampala and organised by the World Mental Property Organisation (WIPO), in collaboration with Uganda Registration Companies Bureau (URSB), is organising the seminar as a part of the worldwide Ok-12 initiative “Empowering Youth to Innovate for a Higher Future.”
Launched in 2023, this three-year mission is being carried out in Uganda, Chile, Jordan, and Malaysia–countries chosen for his or her robust dedication to growing inclusive innovation ecosystems via training.
The Kampala seminar will deliver collectively educators and Mental Property specialists from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Botswana, and Ghana, alongside science lecturers, curriculum builders, and training professionals from throughout Uganda, notably from the Kampala Metropolitan space.
The coaching goals to equip educators with sensible instruments to combine IP ideas into STEM studying, enabling college students to bridge scientific data with entrepreneurial pondering and innovation.
